On 2 March 2026, Ambassador Arunrung Phothong Humphreys welcomed and hosted a dinner for a delegation from the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA) at the Ambassador’s Residence. The delegation was visiting Sweden to study best practices and preparedness regarding Climate Resilience. Prior to the dinner, the Ambassador and the delegation exchanged views on the policy directions and strategies for development assistance of both Thailand and Sweden. A key point of discussion was the current context in which Sweden is tending to reduce its development assistance budget, shifting instead toward strategic budget management aimed at generating greater economic benefits for the country. In addition, the delegation met with executives from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) to explore potential avenues for future collaboration. The Ambassador also reaffirmed full support for fostering upcoming cooperation between NEDA and SIDA.
