On 6 March 2025, Ambassador Arunrung Phothong Humphreys, Ambassador of Thailand to Stockholm, hosted a networking dinner reception in honour of a team of Thai and Swedish researchers and experts under the research project titled “Developing a Wooden Prefabricated Built-in Unit Prototype in Residential Condominium for Raising Competitiveness and Sustainable Development in Thailand.” The reception took place at the Ambassador’s Residence on the occasion of the team’s visit to Sweden for data collection and discussions with Swedish experts. The research project is being conducted by the Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University, as a follow up activity of a study visit to Sweden organized by the Embassy in 2023 to learn/understand about eco-system in forestry management. The project is funded by Program Management Unit for Competitiveness (PMUC). The primary objective of the project is to drive the sustainable forestry industry in Thailand.

On 7 March 2025, the Ambassador also delivered opening remarks at a brainstorming seminar between the Thai research team and Swedish experts at the Royal Thai Embassy. The Swedish experts included Ms. Pi Ekblum, architect and co-founder of Gaia Arkitektur; Mr. Håkan Arnebrant, Business Development Manager at Mätsä, a leading company in the production of wooden components for high-rise buildings; and Mr. Staffan Schartner, architect and Adjunct Professor of Wood Architecture at Linnaeus University in Växjö.
