On 17th November 2025, Ambassador Arurung Phothong Humphreys welcomed the Senate Standing Committee on Monitoring Budget Administration at the Royal Thai Embassy in Stockholm, also joined by Ms. Pittara Navarat , Minister Counsellor. The delegation was led by Asst.Prof. Alongkot Vorakee, Chairman of the Committee.

During the meeting, the Ambassador discussed with the Committee several key issues, including Thailand–Sweden relations, the Embassy’s budget management, the implementation of various activities and projects to promote Thailand’s soft power, as well as the Embassy’s work in providing care and protection for Thai nationals in Sweden.

On 19 November 2025, the Ambassador accompanied the Committee to a meeting with the Committee on Finance of the Swedish Parliament, with Ms. Pittara Navarat, Minister Counsellor, also in attendance. The Swedish side was led by Mr. Edward Riedl, Chair of the Committee.

The discussions were constructive, with the Swedish side sharing insights on several areas related to budget oversight, including fiscal discipline, transparency, alignment with long-term policy objectives, monitoring of budget execution across government agencies, and the use of digital platforms to enhance oversight functions in the implementation of fiscal policy.
