On 29 October 2025, H.E. Mr. Fredrik Wersäll, Marshal of the Realm and Chief of the Royal Court of Sweden, visited the Royal Thai Embassy to sign the book of condolences on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.

During the visit, Ambassador Arunrung Phothong Humphreys had the honor of conversing with the Marshal of the Realm, who conveyed a message from, His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden. His Majesty remarked that the two royal families share a close and longstanding relationship, and had assigned the Marshal of the Realm to personally sign the book of condolences on His Majesty’s behalf.

On this occasion, the Ambassador informed the Marshal of the Realm that His Majesty the King of Thailand had been apprised of the message of condolences from Their Majesties the King and Queen of Sweden, and had graciously expressed his deep appreciation for Their Majesties’ kind words and sympathy extended not only to him but also to the people of Thailand.
