Thailand is gravely concerned by the recent air strikes on the shelter area for the displaced Palestinians in Rafah which have led to loss of lives and casualties of innocent civilians.

Thailand urges all sides to exercise their utmost restraint and respect for the protection of civilian population against the effects of hostilities in accordance with international law, and to refrain from the escalation of tension.

Thailand reiterates its call for the immediate release of all hostages, including Thai nationals.
