The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand underlines that the discharge of its duties, led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs under the leadership of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha's government, is based solely on advancing the national interests of Thailand for long-lasting peace, prosperity and stability for the Thai people, through thorough and strategic assessments and considerations and comprehensive strategies at every turn without exception.

The allegation of "national betrayal" is not only a product of disingenuous fabrication but is also an act of defamation against the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister and the entire staff currently serving at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand - both career diplomats and political appointees. Such baseless slander against the good moral character of those whose best endeavours serve to advance Thailand's national interests constitutes an affront from a legal standpoint, a distortion of the facts, and a deviation from acceptable moral standards.
