The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand welcomes the release of the first two hostages taken as a result of the latest round of violence that has erupted in Israel and Gaza. The Ministry thanks and praises Qatar, the ICRC and all of those involved for their highly commendable efforts in securing the release of these hostages and sends its heartfelt regards to their families.

At this critical juncture, the Royal Thai Government calls for the appropriate care and immediate release of the remaining hostages, which includes Thai nationals, so that they can also be returned home safely to their families at the earliest opportunity.
