On 13 February 2025, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, held a telephone conversation with H.E. Mr. Vijitha Herath, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism of Sri Lanka. Both sides exchanged views on the close bilateral relations between Thailand and Sri Lanka, as well as cooperation on the issue of human trafficking victims who have been deceived into working at call centers in Thailand’s neighbouring countries.
