On June 8, 2022, H.E. Mr. Jaroslav Auxt, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the Kingdom of Thailand paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Thani Thongphakdi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Thailand on the occasion of Ambassador’s assumption of duty.
 
On such occasion, both sides discussed the bilateral relations between Thailand and the Slovak Republic which will celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the establishment of Thai-Slovak diplomatic relations in 2023. Both sides also discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in various fields, including trade and investment, promotion of business-to-business cooperation, as well as cooperation in the field of science and technology especially in space technology and Artificial Intelligence.
 
In addition, the two sides also discussed cooperation under the multilateral framework, including cooperation between Thailand and the Visegrád group during the period of Slovak's presidency and cooperation between Thailand and Slovakia under the EU framework.
