On 23 March 2025, Mr. Narut Soontarodom, Consul General of Thailand in Siem Reap, and officials from RTCG, participated in a 5-kilometer fun run and presented awards to runners at the MLC Week Fun Run 2025. The event was held in celebration of Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (MLC) Week to raise public awareness about the MLC framework and to generate funds for the Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospital in Siem Reap.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Dr. Sok Sipanna, Senior Minister in Charge of Special Missions (Multilateral Trade and Economy Affairs) of Cambodia. Also in attendance were Mr. Meak Kim Heng, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Chairman of the National Secretariat for Mekong-Lancang Cooperation, and Mrs. Manny Raingsey, Deputy Governor of Siem Reap Province. Ambassadors from the Mekong countries, including Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam, also participated in the event.
