Consul General Participates in the Thailand-Cambodia Bilateral Meeting on the Development of a Cooperation Framework to Combat Human Trafficking

On 29 January 2025, Mr. Narut Soontarodom, Consul General of Thailand in Siem Reap, participated in the Thailand-Cambodia Bilateral Meeting on the Development of a Cooperation Framework to Combat Human Trafficking, held between the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security of Thailand and the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training of Cambodia. The Consul General also witnessed the signing of this cooperation framework between the Thai delegation, led by Mrs. Jatuporn Rojanaparnich, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, and H.E. Mr. Hou Vudthy, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training of Cambodia. The event took place at the Angkor Paradise Hotel in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
 
The meeting focused on discussions, revisions, and the signing of the Joint Plan of Action Phase II (2025-2028) under the Memorandum of Understanding on Bilateral Cooperation for Eliminating Trafficking in Persons and Protecting Victims of Trafficking between the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia. This initiative serves as a crucial mechanism to enhance cooperation between the two nations in effectively and sustainably eradicating human trafficking.
