Ambassador to the ROK Organises Handover Ceremony of the Chairmanship of the ASEAN Committee in Seoul to the Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore

On 17 September 2025, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador to the ROK, handed over the Chairmanship of the ASEAN Committee in Seoul (ACS) to H.E. Mr. Wong Kai Jiun, Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Singapore, after Thailand served as Acting Chair of the ACS from 15 July - 17 September 2025.

Ambassador Tanee emphasised Thailand's achievements as Acting Chair in strengthening ASEAN-ROK cooperation in all dimensions, especially in supporting the opening of the ASEAN-Korea Centre's Seoul ASEAN Hall and in coordinating ASEAN Ambassadors and representatives to pay a joint call on the Acting Commissioner of the Korea Immigration Service. The Ambassador expressed his confidence in Singapore's incoming chairmanship and thanked ASEAN Ambassadors and missions for their support during the acting chairmanship.
