On 22 July 2025, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, held a discussion with Ms. Yada Songsangcharoen, Acting President of the Thai Women’s Council in the ROK, and Thai community leaders from various cities. The meeting was focused on preparations for the official establishment of the Thai Women’s Council in the ROK.

Key topics included drafting the council’s constitution and regulations in preparation for its registration as an association, the formation of the executive committee and regional representatives, building alliances and networks between Thai and Korean sectors, and the creation of a Facebook page and website for the council to facilitate communication and share useful information with Thai women in the ROK. Mr. Krist Mekkriengkrai, Head of the Consular Section, also attended the meeting.

Ambassador Tanee provided advice and expressed his readiness to support the council’s first step and its mission of promoting the status of Thai women, creating career opportunities for Thai nationals, supporting community service in the ROK, and strengthening networks and partnerships among the Thai community.
