On 18 February 2025, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, met with H.E. Mr. Kim Seok-ki, Member of the National Assembly of the ROK for Gyeongju-si and Chairperson of the National Assembly’s Committee on Foreign Affairs and Unification. Both sides discussed the means to elevate the already close cooperation between Thailand and the ROK, especially on trade and investment, security, tourism promotion, and cultural exchanges, as well as the exchange of high-level visits between both countries. They also discussed the preparations for the various meetings to be hosted by the ROK as the host economy of APEC in 2025, including the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting (AELM) later this year.
