Ambassador Tanee Meets with President of the Mokpo Chamber of Commerce and Industry to Strengthen Economic and Labour Cooperation

On 17 March 2025, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, met with Mr. Chung Hyun-taek, President of the Mokpo Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Chamber’s Vice Presidents from various industries in Jeollanam Province, to discuss the elevation of cooperation, especially on economic collaboration, elevating bilateral trade and investment, promoting future-oriented industries, and developing skills and opportunities for Thai workers in Mokpo in key industries, such as shipbuilding, ferry services, and agriculture.

Ambassador Tanee invited businesses and investors from Mokpo to participate in the Ignite Thailand-Korea Business Forum, which will be organised by the Embassy from 22-23 April 2025 at Lotte Hotel in Seoul. The Forum will serve to promote investment from the ROK to Thailand and to further develop collaboration between the Thai public and private sectors and the Korean private sector.
