Mr. Vikrom Kromadit, Chairman of AMATA Corporation PCL, visited the Republic of Korea from 2–3 July 2025 to explore trade and investment opportunities between Thailand and Korea, at the invitation of H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK. The Embassy arranged meetings between AMATA and business partners/organisations from the ROK, including ROK key conglomerates and the Korea Battery Industry Association.

The Ambassador also hosted a dinner in honour of Mr. Vikrom at the Ambassador’s Residence. The event was attended by executives from leading Korean companies, including POSCO International, Hyundai Rotem, Hyundai Elevator, Herald Media Group, KEB Hana Bank, and UOB Seoul.

During the dinner, Mr. Vikrom shared that discussions with Korean companies had already led to potential partnerships with two to three major firms, with formal announcements of collaboration expected within the next two to three months.
