Thai community in Korea raises scholarship funds for “Warm Up,” the 1st Thai youth footballer who registered in the Korea Football Association

On 8 July 2025, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, attended the Thai community’s scholarship award ceremony for Mr. Pasawat Wongsa, also known as Warm-Up, son of Mr. Panupong Wongsa, a former Thai national football player. After a year of training at Mokdong Middle School, the ROK, Warm-Up has become the 1st Thai youth who received approval from the Korea Football Association to compete in the ROK's youth football league.
The Thai community in the ROK collectively contributed a total of 10,000,000 won of scholarship funds to support Warm Up’s dreams and professional aspirations.
Ambassador Tanee expressed his appreciation for the Thai community’s contribution and his admiration for Warm-Up’s talent and conveyed his readiness to support Thai youths who are highly capable, determined, and committed to self-development in Korea.
