Ambassador Tanee meets with Assemblywoman Kang Yu-jung to promote greater cultural and tourism exchanges

On 14 February 2025, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, met with Ms. Kang Yu-jung, member of the National Assembly of the ROK and member of the Standing Committee on Culture, Sports, and Tourism. The Ambassador underscored the need to promote greater people-to-people and cultural exchanges between both countries, and both sides discussed ways to resolve entry problems for Thai tourists traveling to the ROK. They also exchanged best practices in developing their respective creative industries.

The Ambassador discussed with the Assemblywoman on the upcoming events to be organised by the Embassy in 2025, including the Ignite Thailand-ROK Business Forum and the Sawasdee Seoul Thai Festival 2025: T-Pop Story, and also presented

a box of Nam Dok Mai mangoes to Assemblywoman Kang in order to promote the popularity of Thai mangoes in the ROK.
