On 2 February 2026, H.E. Mr. Sarun Charoensuwan, Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, held discussions with Ambassadors and representatives of Embassies from European countries (United Kingdom, Norway, Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, Denmark, Finland, and Austria) on travel advisories for Thailand and on the Thailand - Cambodia border situation.
The participants exchanged views on the situation in an honest and constructive manner. The Thai side provided the positive updates on the Thailand - Cambodia border situation and requested participating countries to consider adjusting their travel advisories to reflect the current situation. The Secretary to the Minister also reaffirmed Thailand’s commitment to humanitarian demining along the Thailand - Cambodia border in accordance with its obligations under the Ottawa Convention and welcomed cooperation from partner countries.
