Following the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ approval of the humanitarian assistance for Ukraine amounting 2 million baht (approximately 60,000 USD) on behalf of the Royal Thai Government, the Ministry has tasked the Royal Thai Embassy in Warsaw to procure relief supplies for distribution to affected people in Ukraine through the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.

On 10 March 2022, the Royal Thai Embassy in Warsaw has secured relief items in great demand by the Ukrainian Red Cross Society such as food, blankets and sleeping bags, baby and child products, hygiene items and first aid kits. In cooperation with the Red Cross Society, the first batch of relief items is now ready to be dispatched to the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.

Thailand’s decision underlines our deep concerns for the plight of affected civilians and reflects our determination to support the international community to alleviate the consequences of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.

Moreover, in 2019 the Royal Thai Government contributed one million-baht financial aid for humanitarian and medical assistance to the internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the Eastern part of Ukraine through the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Thai Red Cross Society.
