On 11 April 2024, Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruchi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, welcomed Mrs. Millicent Cruz-Paredes, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to Thailand, who paid a courtesy call and congratulated upon the assumption of the Permanent Secretary’s assumption of duty.

On this occasion, both sides exchanged views on a wide range of areas for further cooperation such as security, trade and investment, labour, agriculture, food security, education, digital economy and e-commerce. In addition, both sides also discussed possible activities to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Thailand - the Philippines diplomatic relations this year, including exchanges of high-level visits and co-organisation of cultural and academic activities throughout the year.
