On 25 November 2024, Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruchi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, hosted a luncheon in honour of H.E. Datuk Jojie Samuel, Ambassador of Malaysia to Thailand and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, on the occasion of the latter’s completion of duty. Also in attendance were ASEAN Ambassadors to Thailand.

The Permanent Secretary expressed appreciation to the Malaysian Ambassador for his efforts and dedication to strengthen the relationship between Thailand and Malaysia, which has benefited both countries, as well as the ASEAN community. She also underlined the Ambassadors’ outstanding role as the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in ensuring such close cooperation between the diplomatic corps and the Royal Thai Government during the course of this year, especially during when the nation celebrated His Majesty the King of Thailand’s 72nd Birthday Anniversary on 28 July 2024.
