DPM/FM discusses with Ambassadors of EU and Member States, agree to further cooperation for peoples’ benefits

On 24 January 2024, H.E. Mr. Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, warmly received the European Union Member States’ Ambassadors from 19 countries, led by H.E. Mr. David Daly, Ambassador of the EU to Thailand, in the course of their courtesy call.

The Deputy Prime Minister gave an overview of the key policies of the Thai Government, particularly proactive foreign policy and economic diplomacy. Both sides agreed to enhance Thai-EU and ASEAN-EU cooperation for the benefits of their peoples.

Both sides also exchanged views on regional and international developments, including on the situation in Myanmar. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized Thailand’s commitment to working more closely with ASEAN and playing a more active and constructive role through humanitarian assistance.
