On 22 November 2024, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received the farewell call by H.E. Datuk Jojie Samuel, Ambassador of Malaysia to Thailand and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, on the occasion of the latter’s completion of duty. Following the call, the Foreign Minister also hosted an official luncheon in honour of the Ambassador.

On this occasion, both sides expressed satisfaction that the bilateral relations between Thailand and Malaysia have been very dynamic, with regular meetings and frequent exchanges of high-level visits. The Foreign Minister also underscored the importance of promoting Thailand-Malaysia border development, especially in the area of infrastructure and potential industries such as rubber and halal, which would mutually benefit both countries and peoples.
