On 19 February 2024, H.E. Mr. Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, warmly welcomed H.E. Mr. Nashida Kazuya, Ambassador of Japan to Thailand, during the latter’s farewell call.

Both sides expressed appreciation for the progress of Thailand-Japan relations in all aspects throughout the tenure of Japan’s Ambassador. They also exchanged views on bilateral cooperation and plans for future high-level meetings, such as the Thailand-Japan High Level Joint Commission (HLJC), to be held within this year.    

On the same day, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, on behalf of DPM/FM, hosted a farewell dinner in honor of the Ambassador of Japan, in appreciation of his invaluable contribution to enhancing Thailand - Japan relations throughout his tenure.
