On 17 May 2024, H.E. Mr. Jakkapong Sangmanee, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister's Office, hosted a luncheon on behalf of H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, in honour of H.E. Mr. Li Bingjun, Governor of Guizhou Province, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

​On this occasion, both sides exchanged views to promote cooperation with Guizhou province in various areas, including economic cooperation, trade and investment, especially in the fields of EV and battery, as well as people-to-people relations such as tourism, science, technology and innovation, cooperation in vocational education exchanges.

​Mr. Li is visiting Thailand between 16 - 19 May 2024. This is his first visit to Thailand as Governor of Guizhou Province and also Guizhou’s first high-level visit to Thailand in 5 years. Mr. Li also took this opportunity to invite Minister Jakkapong to visit Guizhou at his convenience.
