On 6 June 2024, at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, H.E. Mr. Witchu VEJJAJIVA, presented his Letter of Credence to His Majesty the Emperor of Japan, accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Japan. H.E. Mr. SUZUKI Shunichi, Minister of Finance, performed his duty as Minister in Attendance.

On this occasion, His Majesty the Emperor of Japan expressed his best wishes to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua, and had a conversation with the Ambassador about the long-standing, close and cordial relations between Thailand and Japan. His Majesty the Emperor also expressed his admiration to the Royal Projects of H.M. the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, particularly those concerning water resource management and environmental protection, which have been maintained and built upon under the current Reign and still contributed significantly to mitigating the impacts of a global challenge of climate change.
