On 1 June 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy organized a reception in honour of Professor Dr. Nurith Wagner and Professor Dr. Miriam Judith Hirschfeld, Princess Srinagarindra Award Laureates for the year 2022 at the Embassy. They are also the first group of Israeli nurses who received the Award.

On this occasion, H.E. Ms. Pannabha Chandraramya, Ambassador of Thailand to Israel, congratulated the Laureates who were selected for their life-long commitment to advancing human rights to healthcare for all via nursing ethics and cross-cultural understanding and respect, and hoped that the Award will further strengthen the ties between our two countries, especially in the fields of nursing and human rights.

Prof. Dr. Wagner and Prof. Dr. Hirschfeld expressed their appreciation to the Ambassador and the Embassy for hosting the reception, which allowed their family members and colleagues to take part in celebrating this prestigious honor. They also emphasized the important contribution of nurses and nursing ethics in healthcare and the society as a whole.

The Princess Srinagarindra Award was established in 2000 to commemorate the Centenary Birthday Anniversary of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra Mahidol, the Queen Mother of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great and grandmother of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua, in recognition of her exemplary contributions to the advancement of Nursing, Midwifery, and Social Services.
