Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK leads Consular team and Labour team to provide mobile consular service in Gimhae and visits the Thai community at Wat Thai Gimhae Vipassana

On 18 May 2024, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK led Consular team of the Royal Thai Embassy (RTE), Seoul and officers of Thai Labour Office, Seoul to provide the 1/2024 mobile consular service at the Gimhae Urban Regeneration Center, Gimhae City, Gyeongsangnam-do. He received a warm welcome from Mr. Im Ju Teak, Director of Welfare, Gimhae City Hall, and his delegation. There were about 200 Thai nationals receiving the service.
 
Amb. also paid respect to Phramaha Sawai Nyanaviro, the abbot of Wat Thai Gimhae Vipassana and visited the temple. He also met the Thai community and answered questions regarding passport issuance. He stated that the Department of Consular Affairs will send a team to issue passports to those on the waiting list at the earliest opportunity.
 
Amb. encouraged the Thai community to form strong organisations or associations to help each other, and the RTE will provide suggestions and support on this matter. The RTE will coordinate with Wat Thai Gimhae Vipassana to provide support and participate in important events that will be organised by the temple and Thai community.
