On 2 December 2024, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Minister/Deputy Chief of Mission, the Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul, welcomed H.E. Surasak Phancharoenworakul, Deputy Minister of Education and his delegation during his official visit to attend UNESCO International Forum on the Futures of Education, co-organized by UNESCO and the Ministry of Education of the ROK in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province.
 
Minister Bancha shared information and perspectives on bilateral trade, investment, tourism, education and labour between Thailand and the ROK. At present, there are more than 45,000 Thai students studying Korean language which is the highest number in the world, therefore there are still vast opportunities to further promote Thailand-the ROK bilateral relations in various areas.
 
Deputy Minister is ready to promote vocational schools in Thailand to produce more Thai skilled laborers to work in shipyards in the ROK as a pilot project in which the Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul will collaborate with the Thai Labour Office in the ROK further.
