Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK consults with Thai community leaders in the ROK on strengthening Thai community

On 12 June 2024, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, had a meeting with Thai community leaders from various cities in the ROK, including Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi-do, and Chungcheongnam-do, to discuss ways to strengthen the Thai community in the ROK, including the official establishment of Thai associations, promoting Thai workers to work legally, and encouraging Thai workers to apply for changing their non-professional employment visa (E-9) to skilled worker visa (E-7-4) in order to earn more benefits whilst residing in the ROK.

Ambassador also exchanged opinions on consular services system development and emphasised that the Royal Thai Embassy is ready to support the Thai community’s activities.
