On 21 March 2022, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul attended the inauguration ceremony of Mr. Kim Byung-kwan, new Chairman of the Korea Importers Association (KOIMA), organized by KOIMA at the Westin Josun Seoul. Mr. Kim emphasized that KOIMA will work closely with diplomats in the ROK to strengthen international networks and will work hard to secure more stable supply chains by actively bringing in new suppliers from around the world. Last year, the total bilateral trade value between Thailand and the ROK reached 15,801.78 million USD. Major export products of Thailand to the ROK are refined oil, computers (including equipment and accessories), rubber products, circuit boards, and wood (including wood products).
