Consul General of Thailand in New York enhance trade and investment with New Jersey

On July 22, 2024, Miss Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General of Thailand in New York, together with Miss Ketsuree Vijaranakorn, Executive Director of the Thai Trade Center, Mr. Nanthapol Sudbanthad, Director of Thailand Board of Investment New York Office, and relevant officials, had a fruitful discussion with Mr. Andrew Gross, Director of International Innovative and Partnerships, New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA), regarding prospects to enhance trade and investment between Thailand and the state of New Jersey.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged information on New Jersey’s schemes to promote small businesses, including those within the Thai community in NJ, and explored potential cooperation in knowledge exchange and skill development in the areas of mutual interests, particularly innovation for sustainable development, clean energy, and culinary industry. Consul General Somjai also took the opportunity to invite a NJEDA delegation to visit Thailand to meet with Thai authorities in the future.
