Mr. Fabio Chinda, Consul General in New York, along with his spouse, and the Consulate's officials and staff members joined the Thai community in New York City in the Songkran Day, or Thai New Year, ceremonies at Buddha Thai Thavorn Vanaram Temple on 10 April 2022, and Vajiradhammapadip Temple, Long Island on 17 April 2022.

 

At both events, Consul General presided over the merit-making ceremonies and the food offering to the Buddhist monks, delivered his new year blessing speeches to the participants, and appreciated the musical and cultural performances presented by the Thai community. Moreover, at Buddha Thai Thavorn Vanaram Temple, Consul General also took part in the singing performances with Thai local band, and Mrs. Maneevarong Chinda, his spouse, was also invited to crown the Songkran Beauty Queen of this year.
