On 13 June 2024, H.E. Mr. Rooge Thammongkol, Ambassador of Thailand to Mexico and spouse, as well as Mr. Thanit Ngansampantrit, Director of the Office of Commercial Affairs (Thai Trade Center)in Mexico City, officials and spouses, and  local staff of the Embassy, carried out the Royal Thai Volunteers Activity ‘Jit Asa’ to commemorate the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King's 72th birthday on 28 July 2024 by offering lunch and donations at “Hogares Providencia,” a private non-profit organization in Mexico which provides shelter and care for children aged 2-11 years, including orphans, homeless and abandoned children.
 
In the afternoon of the same day, the Ambassador also led the team to clean the streets around the Plaza de la Constitución or the Main Square (Zocalo) in the heart of Mexico City's old town. The Square is a popular tourist destination as it is surrounded by important historical places such as the Cathedral of Mexico City and the National Palace.
