On 8 November 2022, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Los Angeles, with collaboration of WBC Muay Thai, arranged a Muay Thai technics class for Los Angeles Police Officers at the Ahmanson Recruit Training Center, Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). The class was instructed by Kru Christopher Aboy, former US Secret Service and an expert in Muay Thai and other martial arts.

During the opening remarks, Consul General Tor Saralamba expressed his pleasure on the occasion to promote Muay Thai to LAPD Police Officers and was delighted to see Muay Thai gaining popularity among sports lovers and martial arts fans around the world. With this rising trend, he wished to see Muay Thai be one of the selected sports to be competed in Olympic Games in the near future.

The Royal Thai Consulate-General was determined to promote the awareness and recognition of Muay Thai in international level. The training activity was realized with kind cooperation from the WBC Muay Thai in providing an instructor who has expertise in teaching and training tactic classes for law enforcement officers.
