Ambassador presided over Sawasdee Thailand 2024 at Central I-City shopping mall

On 26 April 2024, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, was invited to preside over the opening ceremony of Sawasdee Thailand 2024, organised by Central I-City shopping mall, in collaboration with the Embassy, Office of Commercial Affairs, Department of International Trade and Promotion (DITP Malaysia), and Tourism Authority of Thailand (Kuala Lumpur Office) at the Central I-City, Shah Alam, Selangor during 25 - 28 April 2024.

Ambassador Lada congratulated Thailand’s Central Pattana, led by Ms. Wallaya Chirathivat, CEO, on the 5th Anniversary of the Central I-city under the management of Central Pattana. She also expressed appreciation to the Selangor State Government representatives, including YB Dato’ Ng Suee Lim, Member of Selangor State Executive Council as representative of Selangor Menteri Besar and YB Dr. Quah Perng Fei, ADUN Bandar Baru Klang, for supporting Thai businesses in Selangor.

Ambassador Lada was confident that the Central I-City would further enhance Thailand and Malaysia’s two-way trade and investment as well as the existing good relations. In addition, she expressed readiness to continue to support Thai businesses in Malaysia, in line with the Royal Thai Government’s Proactive Economic Diplomacy.

The Sawasdee Thailand 2024 was successful and well attended by the Malaysian Public. The activities included, Thai cultural performances, Thai handicraft workshops and Thai products bazaar. The Embassy wishes to invite Thai visitors, Malaysian and non-Malaysian Friends of Thailand in Malaysia to explore the Central I-City.
