The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kota Bharu organized a study trip for the Director of the University Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) Jeli Campus and faculty staff together with community leaders from the Kelantan Siamese Association to visit Pikunthong Royal Development Centre, Narathiwat Province, on 4 – 5 August 2022.  The 12 participants led by Mrs. Marisa Indramangala, Acting Consul-General of the Royal Thai Consulate-General, visited various sites in the Centre, such as the sites for the soil aggravation research project (tricking the soil), for the new theory agriculture project on acid sulphate soil,  for fish farming in swampy areas, for integrated farming and those for animal husbandry. Kok Pagar Besar Model Farm Tour was also included in the schedule.

During the visit both Thai and Malaysian sides had an opportunity to discuss about an exchange of study visit and research collaboration and other future collaboration.

Mrs. Saiyud Petsuk, Director of Pikulthong Royal Development Study Centre, were present to welcome the delegation.
