Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand attended the Opening Ceremony of Thai Product Promotion Event in Doha

On 7 May 2024, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, co-presided over the opening ceremony of Thai Halal Food Promotion event at LuLu Hypermarket D Ring branch, with Mr. Shanavas Padiyath, Regional Director of LuLu Group. The event was also attended by Mr. Trirong Wan-Ar-Ree, Minister Counsellor (Commercial) of Thai Trade Center Tehran, which oversees trade-related matters between Thailand and Qatar, executives from the LuLu Group, Spouse of H.E. the Ambassador and representatives from Thai restaurants in Doha that received the Thai SELECT Award.

The event will be held in all branches of LuLu Hypermarket in Doha from 7 – 11 May 2024, and was organized by the Roya Thai Embassy, Doha, Thai Trade Center Tehran and LuLu Hypermarket Doha to promote Thai products that are internationally recognized in quality and standards, ranging from fresh and processed fruits and vegetables, drinks, snacks, Thai seasonings, cosmetics and kitchen utensils. During the event, H.E. the Ambassador also presented the Thai SELECT Award to 4 Thai restaurants qualified for the award, namely Jasmine Thai, Thai Aroi, Thai Smile and The Siam. Each restaurant would also demonstrate their live cooking station during the event.
