On 13 March 2022, H.E. Nathapol Khantahiran, Ambassador of Thailand to the State of Qatar, together with officials from the Royal Thai Embassy in Doha, organized a visit for Thai students to Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium, one of the eight stadiums which will be used to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 during 21 November – 18 December 2022. The students comprised 20 Thai-Muslim secondary school students who received scholarships from the Government of Qatar and students from Qatar University. The students were briefed by the Supreme Committee and Legacy about the history and design concept of the stadium which constitutes state-of-the-art sport facilities and sustainable technology incorporated with Qatari culture in line with Qatar's National Vision 2030.
