Thai Weightlifting Team Won 9 Gold Medals and the Trophy for 1st Overall Team at the 7th Qatar Cup

The Royal Thai Embassy in Doha congratulates the Thai weightlifting team for their success in winning 9 gold medals and 1 trophy at the 7th Qatar Cup in Doha between 30 December 2022 - 4 January 2023.

In this tournament, Ms. Surodchana Khambao (Women's 49 kg) won 3 golds, Ms. Siriyakorn Khaipandung (Women's 81 kg) won 3 golds, and Mr. Rungsuriya Panya (Men's +109 kg) won 3 golds. Consequently, the Thai team won 1st overall team.

During the competition, Ms. Banarasi Koanantakul, Charge d'Affairs a.i., Embassy officials, and staff as well as the Thai community in Qatar were present to cheer on the Thai weightlifters.
