On 1 May 2022, Ms. Pilanya Niyomthai, Minister Counsellor, together with officials from the Royal Thai Embassy in Budapest, participated in the Thai New Year celebration (Songkran) organized by Thairattanaprateep Temple in Budapest. The Minister Counsellor delivered the opening remarks and took part in the religious ceremony and the pouring of water on the monks and elders for New Year blessing. The Royal Thai Embassy also supported the event with Thai food for participants and a prize for the charitable lucky draw activity to raise funds for the Temple.
The Royal Thai Embassy would like to thank Thairattanaprateep Temple for organizing this Songkran Thai New Year celebration , which has drawn hundreds of Thai and Hungarian people. The event has helped promote centuries-old culture and traditions of Thailand and enhance unity and harmony among the Thai and Hungarian people.
