The Royal Thai Embassy in Bern, in collaboration with the Office of Thai Trade Promotion in Frankfurt, Central Group Co.Ltd., and Globus Department Store, organized “Thailand Days – Vegan, Vegetarian and Future Food” event to promote Thai cuisine and Thai food products, especially vegan and vegetarian food, which become very popular worldwide nowadays. The activities consisted of cooking demonstration of two Thai vegetarian dishes at Globus Bern on 11 July 2022 and Globus Zürich on 12 July 2022 as well as an in-store promotion of Thai vegetables, fruits, food and beverages products in the supermarket of the two branches of Globus from 11 - 21 July 2022.

On 11^th July 2022 H.E. Mr. Chittipat Tongprasroeth, Ambassador of Thailand to Switzerland launched the event at Globus Bern while H.E. Mr. Erwin Bollinger, Head of Bilateral Economic Relations Division and Federal Council Delegate for Trade Agreements, State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). Members of diplomatic corps in Bern and Geneva and spouses, representatives from the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland and local government were among the attendees. Furthermore, on 12^th July 2022, the Royal Thai Embassy also invited representatives from the Swiss-Asian Chamber of Commerce, Hotel, Food Import Company, and School of hotel management and culinary in Zürich to visit the Thailand Days event at Globus Zürich and have a try at the two vegetarian dishes prepared by the Chef of Thai Ambassador’s Residence
