Vice Minister For Foreign Affairs Attended the 6th CICA Summit in Astana, Kazakhstan

          On 12 - 13 October 2022, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, paid an official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, with a view to participating in the 6th CICA Summit, attended by heads of states/governments and high-level representatives of 27 CICA member countries. During the Summit on 13 October 2022, several documents were adopted, particularly the Astana Statement on CICA Transformation, underlining the transformational processes of CICA to be a full-fledged international organization.

          During the visit on 12 October 2022, the Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs also met with H.E. Mr. Adil Tursynov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Both sides highlighted the intention to further strengthen bilateral ties in all dimensions. This includes the exchanges of high-level visit and the organization of activities and projects that would help boost bilateral cooperation. In the meeting, the Thai side also congratulated upon the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Kazakhstan and informed of activities, organized by the Royal Thai Embassy to celebrate this occasion, namely, the Muaythai Boxing Competition between Thai boxers and Kazakhstan boxers, the Thai Film Festival in Central Asia and the Online Business Matching between Thai and Kazakh businessmen.
