On 30 March 2022, H.E. Mr. Chatchawan Sakornsin, Ambassador of Thailand to Kazakhstan attended the 37th Meeting of the Nur-Sultan ASEAN Committee (NAC), with 4 ASEAN members, namely Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia, with the Ambassador of Indonesia as the chairman of the meeting. The meeting acknowledged the NAC activities conducted in the second half of 2021 and the plans for NAC activities during 2022, which will be the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and ASEAN countries. Moreover, the Ambassador of Indonesia handed over the chairmanship to the Charge d'affaires ad interim of Vietnam, which will be the chairman of the NAC during the first half of 2022.
