On Tuesday 15 March 2022, H.E. Mr. Chatchawan Sakornsin, Ambassador of Thailand to the Kyrgyz Republic, presented the Letter of Credence to H.E. Mr. Sadir Japarov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic. After the presentation of the Letters of Credence, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic gave an address to foreign ambassadors, during which he emphasized the friendly relations with Thailand and the readiness of the Kyrgyz Republic to expand cooperation with Thailand. Furthermore, on Monday 14 March 2022 the Ambassador of Thailand presented a copy of the Letter of Credence to H.E. Mr. Azizbek Madmarov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. Both sides took this opportunity to emphasize their commitments to strengthen the relations between the two countries, especially in political, economic, tourism and cultural spheres.

        Thailand and the Kyrgyz Republic established diplomatic relations on 6 August 1992 after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. In 2022, Thailand and the Kyrgyz Republic is celebrating the 30^th year anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
