On 10 June 2025, H.E. Mrs. Lalivan Kanchanachari, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, attended the National Day in celebration of the Republic of Portugal at the Residence of the Portuguese Ambassador to Thailand. The event featured a fireworks display to mark the occasion and symbolise the longstanding friendship between Thailand and Portugal.

Thailand and Portugal have enjoyed over 500 years of cordial relations. This historic relationship has continued to flourish across various domains, including economy, trade, politics, cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
