On 16 December 2023, H.E. Mr. Srettha Thavisin, Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, along with H.E. Mr. Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Mr. Ishiguro Norihiko, Chairman of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), who paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister upon his first visit to Japan.

On this occasion, Prime Minister stressed the importance of collaboration with JETRO in the field of innovation and technology, as well as the promotion of human resource development between the two countries. Prime Minister reaffirmed the Board of Investment’s commitment to providing incentives for Japanese firms that are in interested in investing in Thailand amidst challenges of attracting more investments to Thailand. Prime Minister also thanked JETRO for its close working relationship with Thailand over the years that has resulted in mutual economic prosperity.
