On 21 November 2025, H.E. Mr. Psusist Wongsurawat, Consul-General of Thailand in Penang, paid a courtesy call on YAB Tuan Mohd Shukri Ramli, the Chief Minister of Perlis, at the Chief Minister of Perlis Office, Perlis State Legislative Assembly. The meeting was also attended by (1) Mr. Kantapon Sangkhapreecha, Consul, (2) Mr. Mohd Fuad bin Shuid, Senior Secretary of the Chief Minister of Perlis, (3) Mr. Syed Nawawi bin Syed Abd Rahman, Special Officer of the Perlis State EXCO for Infrastructure, Transport, and Border Relations and Cooperation, and (4) Mr. Azreen Jumri, Press Secretary of the Chief Minister of Perlis.

Both sides discussed ways to strengthen cooperation on border trade, cross-border transportations at Padang Besar Border Check Point and Wang Prachan-Wang Kelian Border Check Point, and tourism between Satun Province / Songkhla Province and Perlis. Both sides also exchanged information on protecting Thai nationals in Perlis.
