Senior Pakistani Officials under the National Management Course of Pakistan paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Permanent Secretary

On 9 January 2023, the delegation of senior officials from Pakistan participating in the National Management Course under the National School of Public Policy (NPSS) of Pakistan, paid a courtesy call on Ms. Busadee Santipitaks, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, and received a briefing on Thailand’s foreign policy and Thailand - Pakistan bilateral relations.

DPS Busadee provided an overview of Thailand’s foreign policy and highlighted the “5S” Foreign Affairs Masterplan, which focuses on five key strategies: Security, Sustainability, Standard, Status and Synergy, in accordance with Thailand’s 20-Year National Strategy. Reiterating Thailand's commitment to strengthen the long-standing and cordial ties with Pakistan in various areas of mutual interest, especially on trade and investment and people-to-people exchanges, the Deputy Permanent Secretary prompted for continued exchanges in the future.

Afterwards, Mr. Worawoot Pongprapapant, Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, and the Pakistani delegates exchanged views on the challenges in the region as well as the potential for future cooperation.
